Clock It is operated by Softserve Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Maseru, Lesotho. These terms cover the test release that exists today. They will be replaced before money moves between real people, and you will be told when that happens.

What Clock It is

A place to find a beauty specialist, see her work and her prices, and hold a time in her diary. The specialist is not our employee. She sets her own prices, her own hours and her own travel policy, and the work is hers. We introduce the two of you and we hold the time.

The appointment fee

Booking takes a deposit: ten percent of the price, or the minimum set for the specialist's country, whichever is greater. It is never much more than a quarter of the price, and on a cheap service it is the minimum rather than the percentage. It is not an extra charge. It comes off what you owe, and the balance is settled with the specialist at the chair. The deposit is taken in the specialist's own currency, which is the currency her prices are shown in.

The deposit is not refundable if you do not arrive. That is the whole point of it. A specialist who holds five hours for a full head of braids and is stood up has lost those five hours and cannot get them back, and that is the single largest reason good specialists are wary of taking bookings from strangers.

You get all of it back when:

• the specialist cancels, for any reason;
• the specialist does not arrive or cannot do the work;
• you cancel more than twenty four hours before the appointment.

Inside twenty four hours, the deposit stays with the specialist. If something has genuinely gone wrong, tell us and a person will look at it.

What we check, and what we do not

A Certified badge means we have seen a qualification and satisfied ourselves it is real. ID verified means we have checked an identity document. Those are statements about paperwork.

A badge is not a promise that a person is safe, that you will like the work, or that anything will go well. Use your judgement the way you would with anyone you found by word of mouth.

House calls

Where a specialist travels to you, your address reaches her only once the booking is confirmed, and her travel fee is hers and set by her. Either of you may decline a house call without giving a reason and without penalty.

Ratings

Both sides rate each other. Neither rating is published until both are in or seven days have passed, so that neither of you is rating in response to the other. We remove ratings that are abusive or that are plainly about something other than the work.

This is a test release

The version you are using is for testing. It may change, break or be withdrawn, its data is demonstration data and may be deleted at any time, and it should not be relied on to run a business or to hold a real appointment.
