Last updated 21 September 2026

This describes the version of Clock It that exists today, which is a test release. It is not a description of what we intend to build. When the product changes, this page changes with it, and the date above moves.

Clock It is operated by Softserve Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd, Maseru, Lesotho. If you want to ask about anything here, write to hello@softserve.africa.

What this version collects

Clock It does not ask you to sign in and does not create an account. Signing in with Google or Apple is built, and it is switched off in this release because the credentials for it do not exist yet. There is no password, no email address and no phone number held for you, because there is nothing yet to hold them against.

What reaches our servers is what you type into the app:

  • When you book: the name you give, what you booked, when, and, if you ask somebody to come to you, the address you type so they can find you.
  • Services: their names, prices, how long each takes, and the descriptions you write.
  • Working hours, breaks, the gap you leave between appointments, and days you close.
  • Actions taken on a booking, such as accepting, declining or marking one complete.

A booking is shown to the specialist it is for. That is the point of making one, and it is the only place your name and address go.

What it does not collect

Stating these plainly because several are the things people reasonably worry about with a beauty app:

  • No location. The app never asks for it and never reads it.
  • No camera and no access to your photographs. Portfolio upload is not built yet.
  • No contacts, no calendar, no microphone, no files.
  • No advertising identifier, and no advertising of any kind.
  • No analytics. Nothing here measures how you use the app.
  • No payment card details, ever. The booking fee is not built yet, and when it is, it will move through a mobile money provider.

Crash reports

Both the Android and the iOS app send a report if the app stops unexpectedly. That report holds the device model, the version of the operating system, the version of Clock It and the technical trace of what failed. It does not hold your name, your phone number, or anything you typed into the app. It goes to Sentry, which stores it in the United States on our behalf and keeps it for thirty days, and we read it to find and fix the fault.

Crash reporting was switched on for iOS on 21 September 2026. Until then only the Android app reported, and this page said so.

Until 20 September 2026 this page said there was no crash reporting at all. That was true when it was written and had stopped being true for Android by the time the app reached testers.

Where it goes

To our own servers on Microsoft Azure, in Europe and South Africa. We do not sell anything to anybody, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else, because there is no arrangement under which we would.

The people who can see it are the people at Softserve Digital Solutions who build and run Clock It.

How long it is kept

This is a test release and its data is demonstration data. It is deleted when the test ends, and the store it lives in does not survive a restart of the service, so in practice it is short lived. Once there are real accounts and real bookings, this section will say something much more specific, and it will be written before that happens rather than after.

What you can ask for

Under the Data Protection Act 2012 of Lesotho you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to the address above and we will answer. Because this build holds no account for you, in most cases the honest answer today will be that we hold nothing that identifies you.

Children

Clock It is not for children. It is for booking an appointment and for running the business that takes it. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child.

When this changes

Authentication, portfolio photographs and real payments are all coming, and each of them changes what is collected. This page will be updated before those ship, not afterwards, and the date at the top will tell you when it last moved.
